Emulating real concrete, earthenware, terracotta and oxidised lead, our Natural finishes have
proved popular and hardwearing over many years. These finishes are available on any of our
products and are suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Aged lead finish is a top choice among garden designers.
Often resembling a darker grey concrete effect, aged lead
features a deep base adorned with a mottled whitish
bloom, mimicking the look of genuine oxidized lead.
8Integrated Finish9 The color is embedded in the product
during manufacturing.
8Care Required9 Similar to terracotta, the white bloom
can be inadvertently removed, necessitating careful
handling and maintenance.
Each aged lead product evolves with the weather. The
outer surface is porous, absorbing moisture from rain
and humidity, leading to a distinctive character over time
including water mark staining - which can be cleaned off
Antique lead elevates the finish by incorporating white
oxidized highlights, especially on raised feature
mouldings. Additionally, it serves to seal the surface,
ensuring that the white bloom remains intact and
cannot be removed and is perfect for water features.
Although real terracotta is a beautiful addition to any
garden, it has major drawbacks, especially when it
comes to large sizes. With our terracotta finish, the
issues of weight, cost, and frost resistance are resolved
in one go, without compromising the desired
aesthetics.
Just as with Corten steel, once planted you absolutely
cannot tell that you are looking at anything other than
a genuine terracotta pot.
We offer two shades of terracotta, Tuscan and light
which is a brown hue Tuscan.
Earthenware recreates the look of baked raw clay,
while Concrete is a light grey creation where a
roughcast look is required.
Both are very hardwearing with the finish integral to
the surface of the fibreglass.
A mottled aging effect is created with the addition of an
electrostatically charged whitish dust that give the
finish its whitish bloom. This will remain part of the
finish forever unless accidentally removed by rubbing it
off with a cloth. We give full instructions on care,
includng cleaning and rejuvinating the 8bloom9
